Square Enix released the full music video for “Endwalker – Footfalls” just ahead of the release of the Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker vinyl album. The music video features Masayoshi Soken, and his group The Primals, performing the song. The video is roughly three minutes long. Additionally, it has several visual nods to previous Final Fantasy XIV expansions. This includes Heavensward, Stormblood, and Shadowbringers.
While the music video features scenes paying homage to those expansions, there is no CGI trailer footage in the video. Instead, the music video features scenes of The Primals performing the song interspersed with scenes of a woman walking. At the end of the music video, a scene mirroring the beginning of the Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker announcement trailer appears.

The vinyl album is immediately available to pre-order through the Square Enix Online Store. It will release on November 17, 2021. Additionally, Square Enix shared the lyrics for “Endwalker – Footfalls” through a developer diary. This included a comment from Lead Story Designer Natsuko Ishikawa, who helped conceptualize the lyrics for the theme of Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker.
Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PS4, PS5, and PC. Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker will release on December 7, 2021. Early access begins on December 3, 2021.
