Eternals spoilers follow.
Marvel's Eternals may have not fared too well with the audiences, but the latest entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe did an excellent job of laying the groundwork for the future.
The Chloé Zhao-directed epic managed to introduce not one but two new characters to the MCU, thanks to what are now the ubiquitous mid- and post-credits scenes.
The stars of Eternals, including Salma Hayek and Lauren Ridloff, have already shared their reaction to the arrival of one new Marvel hero – and now the actor in question has, too.

Yes, we're of course talking about the arrival of Eros (or Starfox), the brother of Avengers tyrant and Snap extraordinaire Thanos and played by none other than Harry Styles.
Reflecting on his very first Marvel scene, Styles told Dazed in a recent interview that becoming Eros was essentially a dream come true.
"I'm only in right at the very end," he said, playing down his Eternals appearance. "But who didn't grow up wanting to be a superhero, you know?"
Praising director Zhao, the singer-turned-actor-turned-icon added: "It was a great experience and I'm so grateful to have gotten to work with Chloé."

And the feeling is mutual, it seems, with Chloé Zhao recently calling Styles "very much a package deal".
Opening up about the casting process, Zhao said recently that Harry first caught her eye after appearing in Christopher Nolan's Dunkirk.
"I thought he was very interesting," she revealed. "After meeting him I realised he is that character – the same way I cast the rest of my cast. There's so much of Eros in him."
Eternals is now playing in US and UK cinemas.
