Who Is Singer DaniLeigh And How Many Kids Does She And DaBaby Have?

DaniLeigh and DaBaby hit the headlines this week after the latter shared their personal dispute during an Instagram Live.

The pair got together in 2020 but announced their split on social media in February, before they had a child together in August.

In November, rapper DaBaby started sharing insights into their current home situation by livestreaming his altercation with the singer.

Local police confirmed there were two calls made regarding the incident between the two. DaBaby later posted a lengthy statement saying he filmed their interaction for his own safety.

DaniLeigh has also shared updates on the situation, writing on her Instagram Stories: "I left and me and my baby safe.. Thank y'all for support."

Who is DaniLeigh?

DaniLeigh, real name Danielle Leigh Curiel, is a singer, songwriter, rapper and dancer born in Miami, Florida in December 1994.

She came to prominence for working with Prince on his 2013 song "Breakfast Can Wait," where she directed his music video when she was 18-years-old. She's spoken several times about how Prince became a mentor for her, until his death in 2016.

She signed with Def Jam Records and has since released several singles one EP and five LPs. DaniLeigh's song "Easy (Remix)" featuring Chris Brown has been her most popular single to date.

DaniLeigh has also also collaborated with the likes of Kap G, Lil Baby, G-Eazy and her former partner DaBaby.

"Yellowbone" controversy

In January, DaniLeigh was accused of colorism within her song "Yellowbone." She initially doubled down on her lyrics after the song courted controversy, but she eventually issued an apology.

The song was allegedly referring to DaBaby, in particular the line which says: "That's what he wants, that's what he likes."

The pair broke up in February as they both announced their split on Instagram.

How many children do DaniLeigh and DaBaby have?

DaBaby, aka Jonathan Lyndale Kirk, and DaniLeigh started dating in 2020 but broke up in February 2021.

After the recent incident recorded on Instagram, DaniLeigh told her followers: "So we been living with each other for the past three months since our baby been born."

DaniLeigh confirmed the gender and the age of their child as she went on to say in the lengthy message, "Im sorry to my baby that her father is kicking her out her home at 3 months [sic]." The name of their child is not known.

DaBaby also has another child from a previous relationship. His first daughter was born in 2017, and often makes appearances on his social media channels.

In May 2021, he shared pictures and a video on Instagram of them going shopping together.

In October 2021, he shared a video of the same little girl in the studio with him, dancing to one of his tracks.
