For Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant are the frontrunners in this year's MVP race.

As expected, Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant and Warriors talisman Stephen Curry continue where they left off this season. The pair is now the two league leaders in scoring and it seems like the trajectory of their run suggests that it is likely to stay that way as the season goes.

Quizzed to share his thoughts on Durant and Curry's case for early MVP favorites, Warriors coach Steve Kerr acknowledged the fact that the former Dubs teammates are certainly on top of everybody else at this point.

“Yeah, no doubt, to me they’ve been the two best players in the league so far,” Kerr said of Curry and Durant on when asked if the former teammates were the early frontrunners for MVP this season via NBC Sports.

Kerr had admitted early in the season that despite being witness of Curry's greatness for years, he is “still blown away” by the two-time scoring champ's showing.

“Even though we've all been here watching it, I'm still blown away,” Kerr previously said of Curry via Sporting News. “Not just the shooting range, but the competitiveness and the guts and just an amazing, amazing player. What a game he had.”

As it stands, Durant is slightly above Curry in the list of NBA top scorers with 29.6 points per game on a whopping 58.6 shooting. The latter, on the other hand, is averaging 28.1 with 44.2 field goal percentage. The reigning MVP Nikola Jokic, meanwhile, is far behind at the 10th spot with 25.3 per outing.
