Despite the wave of criticisms Teddy Bridgewater has been receiving as of late, Denver Broncos head coach Vic Fangio doesn't intend to change his starting quarterback and make Drew Lock QB1 instead.

In fact, Fangio had a rather firm response when asked about possibly starting Lock over Bridgewater, giving a massive vote of confidence to his current starter.

“No, Teddy's our quarterback moving forward,” Fangio said about whether he'll give Lock QB1 consideration during their bye in Week 11, per Troy Renck of Denver7.

To recall, talks about benching Teddy Bridgewater and starting Drew Lock started after Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Late in the third quarter with Philly leading 20-13, cornerback Darius Slay picked a fumble from Melvin Gordon and ran 83 yards for the touchdown. However, Bridgewater actually had the chance to at least slow down or distract the speedy defensive back, but instead moved out of the way as he showed no interest in tackling the opponent.

It was a costly mistake as the Broncos succumbed 30-13, unable to respond at all to the Eagles' hot offense.

After the lack of effort on defense, fans and experts alike criticized Teddy Bridgewater. It also raised debates on whether Vic Fangio should consider using Drew Lock as they enter a critical stage in the season.

For what it's worth, Bridgewater has taken accountability on his mistake. Fangio called him out for it, though he did not explain why he chose not to tackle at such crucial moment.

“It was great coach called it out in the team meeting…I take full ownership in what happened. Coach called me out, and I hold myself accountable…I'm happy coach called me out,” the Broncos' starting QB shared after the Week 10 showdown, per Michael Spencer of CBS Denver.

Fortunately for Bridgewater, he has a chance to redeem himself when the Broncos return to action in Week 12 against the Los Angeles Chargers.
