More than 70 new games added to Xbox backward compatibility, more get FPS Boost

In celebration of the 20th anniversary of Xbox, the Xbox backward compatibility team has given us one heck of an update in terms of the library of games playable on modern Xbox consoles.

Unfortunately, before we get to the good stuff, there is some bad news here. According to the team, this is the “latest and final addition of 70+ titles to the backwards compatibility program,” meaning that there’s no hope of any other games being added going forward. No Jet Set Radio Future or Anarchy Reigns makes me a very sad person.

That aside, there’s still a lot to be happy about. Here’s the full list of the 70-plus games that are now back-compat as of today. Even better, 37 games are also getting FPS Boost, with the list a mix of games new to back-compat and others ones that were already playable. For the list of new additions, I’ve bolded the games that are getting FPS Boost.

Beyond that, the pre-existed games to get it are: Alan Wake, Assassin’s Creed, Darksiders, Dead Space 2, Dead Space 3, Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age II, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Fable Anniversary, Fable III, Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas, Far Cry 3, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, Gears of War, Gears of War 2, Gears of War 3, Gears of War: Judgment, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, Kameo: Elements of Power, Medal of Honor: Airborne, Mirror’s Edge, Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, Sonic Generations, and Sonic Unleashed.

Anyhow, here’s the full list.
