The USMNT took the top spot on the Concacaf table after defeating rival Mexico 2-0 in Cincinnati. Christian Pulisic entered the game in the second half to kick off the scoring before Weston McKennie doubled the tally for the famous “dos a cero” win.

McKennie and Miles Robinson will both serve a suspension for the Jamaica match due to yellow card accumulation and a red card, respectively. NYCFC midfielder James Sands was added to the roster in their place.

Christian Pulisic remains on the road to full recovery from an ankle injury and will likely not play the full 90 minutes for the United States.

Jamaica are currently in sixth on the Concacaf World Cup Qualifiers table with six points in seven games. Since losing to the United States on October 7th in Austin, Texas, the team has managed an undefeated record.

Jamaica and West Ham United forward Michail Antonio came off the bench and scored the team’s lone goal in the draw with El Salvador on Friday, his first for the Reggae Boyz.

After initially not allowing any fans at the match, Jamaica is allowing 5,000 vaccinated fans to attend the match against the United States.

Predicted lineups

USMNT: Steffen; Yedlin, Richards, Zimmerman; A. Robinson, Musah, Adams, Acosta, Weah; Pepi, Pulisic

Jamaica: Blake; Mariappa, Lowe, Powell, Lawrence; Williams, Grant, Bailey; Burke, Roofe, Nicholson

USMNT vs Jamaica head to head record

The USMNT holds a 19-3-8 all-time series advantage over Jamaica, with the first match between the two nations being played in 1988. The U.S. won the most recent contest in the series, 2-0 in Austin, Texas, last month, and have not lost to Jamaica since an 0-1 defeat on June 5th, 2019 in an international friendly.

USMNT vs Jamaica score prediction

While Jamaica has looked solid in their most recent matches, the United States proved to be far and away the best team in Concacaf after Friday night’s victory. The Americans also defeated Jamaica 2-0 just a month ago on home soil, and while traveling makes it a more difficult match, the limited capacity crowd should play in the favor of the USMNT. If the U.S. can play the way they did against Mexico in the Jamaica match, they should have absolutely no problem.

Prediction: USMNT 2-0 Jamaica
