The beauty, grace, and athleticism of dance will be spotlighted November 18 through November 21 when a magical holiday classic, The Nutcracker Ballet, comes to life in the Emma Kelly Theater.

Nutcracker Ballet

Delighting the Statesboro community for over a decade, The Nutcracker Ballet has become one of the most anticipated events of the holiday season.

Under the direction and choreography of Averitt Center Ballet Director Rebekah Harville Carlisle, the ballet features members from all age groups and skill levels, representing the Cotton Rose School of Dance at the Averitt and the Statesboro Youth Ballet. The magic of one of the most beloved holiday classics truly signals the Christmas season.

Tickets Available

Performances are at 7 p.m. on November 18th through November 20th and 3 p.m. on the 21st. Reserved seating is $25 for adults ($23 for Averitt members, military members or veterans, first responders, city and county employees) and $15 for students with ID.

To purchase tickets, visit the Box Office at the Averitt Center Main Gallery (open 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday), call 912-212-2787 or purchase online at www.averittcenterforthearts.org/nutcracker-ballet.

Sponsored by Morris Bank and Jim & Betsy Nichols, the Nutcracker Ballet tells the story of Clara as she and the Nutcracker, given to her by Godfather Drosselmeyer, battle the Mouse King. Upon defeating the mice army, Clara is entertained by the Sugarplum Fairy as they travel through the Land of Sweets.

Mrs. Carlisle has choreographed a fantastic show using our local talent.
