The fourth movie in the After franchise, After Ever Happy, is officially happening. Yep, Harden and Tessa will be taking centre stage once again as their story finally comes to an end, and fans will discover the fate of the turbulent relationship.

When was the fourth After movie announced?
The fourth movie was filmed back-to-back with third film After We Fell from September-December 2020, with the main cast members announcing they had wrapped filming back at the end of 2020.
"THAT'S A WRAP 🎬 " the official account revealed. "Hero and Josephine are so thankful for fans like you and can't wait to share the next chapters in Tessa and Hardin's love story in #AfterWeFellMovie & #AfterEverHappyMovie"
In Sptember 2021, director Castille Landon told fans on Twitter that she was actually finishing up the post-production on the final film, tweeting, "I'm finishing up post on AEH..."
Who will star in the fourth After movie?
Of course, there's no After franchise without Hero Fiennes Tiffin and Josephine Langsford as Hardin Scott and Tessa Young. You can probably also expect to see Chance Perdomo back as Landon Gibson, Louise Lombard as Trish Daniels, Frances Turner as Karen Scott, Rob Estes as Ken Scott and Kiana Madeira as Nora.
What might happen in the fourth After movie?
The official synopsis reads: "A revelation about the past shakes Hardin's impenetrable façade to the core – and then Tessa suffers a tragedy, putting their relationship on the brink. As the shocking truth about each of their families emerges, it’s clear the two lovers are not so different from each other," it reads.
"Tessa is no longer the sweet, simple, good girl she was when she met Hardin – any more than he is the cruel, moody boy she fell so hard for."
The fourth film is based on the fourth novel in the series by Anna Todd. And *spoiler alert* features a time-jump, where Hardin and Tessa have two children, so it's unclear how they might address that in the next film.
When will the fourth After movie be released?
No details on the release date have been revealed yet. The first After film came in April 2019, while After We Collided and After We Fell were released in October 2020 and September 2021.
Hopefully as filming has already wrapped on After Ever Happy, it could drop in April 2022, or it could be towards the end of the year.
