Michelle McManus has announced she is expecting her second child.

The former Pop Idol winner and her husband Jeff Nimmo will be welcoming a new baby next year.

The Scottish star shared a sweet family picture on her Instagram page, of her and Jeff holding their son Harry with her baby bump on show.

"Harry playing peekaboo with Mummy, Daddy and bump," she captioned the picture.

"Baby Nimmo no2 due early 2022 #overthemoon #family #love #pregnant #3become4."

Michelle and her husband married in Scotland in 2017 following two years of dating. He popped the question while they were on holiday in the Canary Islands.

She announced in 2019 that the pair were expecting their first child together, with son Harry arriving in 2020.

"Last month we welcomed our beautiful son Harry John Nimmo into the world," she shared on Instagram.

"Never could I have imagined this feeling of utter joy and overwhelming love for my little boy. My heart is literally bursting with happiness. We love you so much Harry."

After their son was born, Michelle praised the NHS: "Myself and Jeff will never be able to thank the staff at the Princess Royal Maternity Hospital in Glasgow for the care and attention they've given us over the last 9 months to ensure our darling son was delivered safely into the world," she wrote at the time.

"As a type 1 diabetic my pregnancy was to be a little more challenging but thanks to the constant support from the phenomenal Diabetic and Obstetrics teams at the Princes Royal I sailed through it with no complications, something I could never have done on my own."

Michelle won Pop Idol back in 2003, with her single 'All This Time' debuting at number one.

Since then, she co-presented STV's lifestyle magazine show The Hour and was a columnist for the Glasgow Times.
