Milton Keynes Covid vaccination rates revealed as one area of the town claims eleventh lowest spot across England

An area of Milton Keynes has the 11th lowest number of fully vaccinated people in the South East - new figures show.

Central Milton Keynes and Newlands area 52.1 per cent of it's population have received both their coronavirus vaccines, according to figures released by Public Health England on Sunday, November 15.

Headington in Oxfordshire has the lowest amount of people fully jabbed against Covid-19 in the region, with only 39.1 per cent.

Elsewhere across the globe, fears of surge of Covid-19 cases in Austria has led to them imposing a lockdown on the unvaccinated.

About 65 per cent of Austria's population has been fully vaccinated - meaning they are one of the lowest rates in Western Europe.

A total of 52.1 percent have received both vaccines in Central Milton Keynes and Newlands, with only 59.7 percent of those living in that area having their first vaccine.
