There has been some progress made in the stalemate between the Philadelphia 76ers and NBA All-Star Ben Simmons. Simmons has begun the process of reporting to the team, which will bring one act of the saga to an end.

It still remains to be seen when exactly Ben Simmons plans to make his season debut for the 76ers. An upcoming lengthy road trip could be the best time, but regardless, there just hasn’t been a date specifically set.

The 76ers have managed to somewhat get by without Simmons but still haven’t played quite at high enough of a level to be among the top teams in the Eastern Conference. It’s clear, the team will either need a fully bought in Simmons or a return from a trade featuring him to achieve such a result.

Meanwhile, the Sacramento Kings still seek to make a playoff appearance to put an end to a 15-year drought. The team does not seem to have enough firepower currently as constructed in order to get the job done. Sacramento is off to a 5-8 start to the season — trailing even the likes of the Oklahoma City Thunder.
