Mitch Marsh produced a batting performance for the ages to guide Australia to a maiden T20 World Cup win.
New Zealand started strongly, putting forward an impressive score of 4-172 thanks to a captain's knock of 85 off 47 balls from Kane Williamson.
It was a record men's T20 final target.

He didn't take his foot off the gas either, ending the match with 77 runs from 50 balls to steer his nation to an emphatic an eight-wicket win in Dubai.
"This has been one of the best T20 innings that I've seen," Shane Watson said in the commentary box.
"There's not too many batsmen in the world who have the natural power that he does."
Australian batter David Warner was named Player of the Tournament, but there was only one bloke worthy of being crowned the Final's MVP.

"I don't really have words, what an amazing six weeks with this group. Love them to death. World champs," Marsh said.
"[The move to No.3 in the order] The coaching staff came up to me in the West Indies and said you're going to bat three for this tournament, and I jumped at it. Have the staff to thank for backing me and getting me up the top there.
"[The six first ball off Milne] Not a whole lot of thinking that goes into it. Wanted to have a presence, be in the contest, go out there and play my game. It's unbelievable."
