Real Madrid’s sporting project is one for the future. With a new stadium and ambitions of signing the two most valuable players in the world, Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland, next summer, Los Blancos are ready for another golden era. While they still have several stars of the past playing at a high level, such as Karim Benzema and Toni Kroos, Los Blancos already have future stars approaching the world-class level.

This season, we have seen Vinicius Junior take his game to new heights, while summer 2021 signing Eduardo Camavinga has shown signs of serious quality.

Let’s take a look at how every young player, defined as being under the age of 25, is performing so far for the first team in 2021-2022.

ST Luka Jovic

Another winter loan move is a possibility for Luka Jovic, who could very well be on his way out of Madrid by the time the 2022-2023 season starts. It’s unfortunate, but with Los Blancos so keen on the dream of both Mbape and Haaland in 2022, Jovic may be the odd one out, sold for an influx in cash to possibly offset the additions of both megastars.

Jovic is a good player in his own right, which is why Real Madrid bought him for about 60 million euros in the first place. To date, Jovic has accrued just 60 minutes in La Liga, adding an assist to his record in the league. Jovic has also made two appearances off the bench in the Champions League, totaling 35 minutes.

He’s looked decent when on the pitch, but since he has played so few minutes, it’s hard to give Jovic genuine praise. It’s too bad he was injured before the Elche match, because that would have been his opportunity.
