It is safe to say that Ange Postecoglou has made quite an impression since arriving at Celtic in the summer. He has already become a fan favourite but it is not just the fans that appear to have been impressed by the manager. One former Celtic star has praised him, despite departing Parkhead in the summer.

At the moment, things are very much looking up for Postecoglou’s side. Celtic have won seven of their previous eight games in all competitions and they seem to be getting better with every passing game.

Now, it will be about carrying on with this form after the international break. But it is safe to say that the recent signs have been very positive.

Ryan Christie left Celtic in the summer. But before that, he did play a bit of football for the Hoops under the management of Postecoglou. And it is safe to say that he played quite well as he looked like a perfect fit in the manager’s style of football. It is clear that he was left impressed even in that short period of time. As reported by the Glasgow Times (via 67 Hail Hail), the Bournemouth star said:

"“Before I left I was able to get a wee taste of Ange’s training. I tried to be quite vocal about how much I enjoyed it and how good he was.“The longer he stays in the job, the more successful Celtic will be.”"

Christie appears to have been impressed by the Celtic manager

Celtic have had a stop-start season till now. And although they have found some form recently, there is always the fear that a few injuries could derail their momentum considering that they do not have a deep squad.

We have already seen that happen once earlier in this very campaign, as the team struggled when Kyogo and Callum McGregor were out injured at the same time.

All things considered though, Postecoglou has done a tremendous job with the cards that he has been dealt at Celtic. And one can only hope that the club add to their squad in the January transfer window.
