Chelsea have reportedly tabled a £34 million bid for Real Madrid defender Eder Militao and are willing to offer him a huge salary increase.
The Blues are on the hunt for a new central defender, with both Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger in contract limbo and Thiago Silva now 37 and set to leave at the end of the season.
According to El Nacional, the Blues are keen on Militao, who has become a regular starter at Real following the departures of Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane to Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United respectively.

He's started all 12 games in La Liga for Carlo Ancelotti's side, who are in second place behind Real Sociedad by a single point.
The 23-year-old is contracted with Real until 2025 but Chelsea hope they can persuade him to make the move to Stamford Bridge.
And they are willing to increase his pay packet significantly as the European champions believe he has the skill-set to fit into Thomas Tuchel's back three system.

Real paid £43.5 million to sign Militao from Porto in 2019 and he made 15 appearances in his debut season with Los Blancos as they won La Liga under Zinedine Zidane.
The defender is now a permanent fixture in Tite's Brazil squad and has featured 18 times, scoring his first goal against Ecuador in the Copa America last summer.
