Jonathan Marchessault and Evgenii Dadonov each scored two goals as the Vegas Golden Knights (9-6-0) defeated the Vancouver Canucks (5-8-2), 7-4, on Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena.

HOW IT WENT DOWN
The Canucks jumped out to a 2-0 lead with goals from J.T. Miller and Tanner Pearson in the first six minutes of the game. With 14 seconds left in the opening period, Dadonov netted a power-play goal to bring the Golden Knights to within a goal. In the second period, Reilly Smith and Brayden McNabb scored five minutes apart to give Vegas its first lead of the night. Nils Hoglander answered late in the frame as the teams entered the third period level at 3-3. Jake Leschyshyn potted his first goal in the NHL early in the third, but Hoglander scored his second of the night to tie the game at 4-4. Marchessault ripped a shot past Thatcher Demko on the power play to put the Golden Knights back in front, 5-4. Dadonov and Marchessault both scored again late in the game to secure a 7-4 win for Vegas.
TOP PERFORMERS
Jake Leschyshyn: Leschyshyn's two points (1G, 1A) were the first of his career.
Alex Pietrangelo: Pietrangelo continued his string of strong games with two assists.
Shea Theodore: Theodore also tacked on two assists from the blueline.
Evgenii Dadonov: Dadonov recorded his first three-point night as a Golden Knight with two goals and an assist.
STATS OF THE KNIGHT
With his assist on Smith's goal, Leschyshyn registered his first NHL point. He followed the feat up with his first NHL goal in the third period. Leschyshyn became the third Golden Knight this week to record his first NHL goal.
With his first goal of the game, Marchessault became the first player to record 100 goals as a Golden Knight.
