San Francisco Giants All-Star gets 99 OVR Diamond Finest Card
With over a decade in the league, Buster Posey has enjoyed a stellar career consisting of a Rookie of the Year award, MVP, seven All-Star selections, and three World Series wins. Earlier this month, Posey announced his official retirement from professional baseball.
While he’s done playing in the big league, gamers can still use Posey with their Diamond Dynasty squads in The Show. There’s now a new MLB The Show 21 Player Program which features the Finest Diamond card below.
Attributes on this card include an impressive 125 Contact Left, 113 Power Left, 109 Contact Right, 103 Power Right, and 112 Plate Discipline. He’s also got that Diamond Defense with 98 Fielding, 94 Reaction, and 86 Accuracy. The speed will leave something to be desired at 14 and don’t expect to be stealing many bases with his 17 there, but this is a pretty sweet card.
How to complete MLB The Show 21 Buster Posey Player Program
To earn the card above, finish the MLB The Show 21 Buster Posey Player Program in Diamond Dynasty mode. Complete Missions and Moments to rack up 50 Programs.
Along the way, there are other rewards. At 10 PP, you get 500 MLB The Show Stubs and a Bat. 20 PP brings an MLB The Show 21 Pack, while 30 brings a Giants Alternate uniform and 1,000 Stubs. You’ll get another pack at 40 PP, and the Posey card at 50 PP.
Three Missions are available. The first is getting five hits with catchers in Ranked Seasons, Battle Royale, and/or Events to earn 10 Player Programs.
The second mission involves tallying three Home Runs with Giants players. Do this in Ranked Seasons, Battle Royale, Events, Play vs. CPU, and/or Conquest. This is also worth 10 Player Programs.
A third mission is to defeat the Giants on All-Star or higher using your Diamond Dynasty team to get 8 player Programs.
There are six Moments you can complete worth 7 Player Programs each for a total of 42 PP. We’ve listed them below:
- Posey’s Welcome Gift – Get one Hit as Posey against Dodgers (Veteran) 7 PP
- Buster Hugs – Hit 1 Home Run against Rangers (Veteran) 7 PP
- MVPosey – Hit 1 Home Run against Reds. (Veteran) 7 PP
- Buster Bashes the Baseball – Hit 1 Home Run against Tigers. (Veteran) 7 PP
- Center of the Dynasty – Tally 3 Hits against Nationals. (Veteran) 7 PP
- End of an Era – Tally 4 Total Bases against Dodgers. (Veteran) 7 PP
In addition to the Moments and Missions, Exchange catchers worth 10,000, to earn five Player Programs towards Buster Posey’s program.
