Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Denver Nuggets.
Lillard is dealing with lower abdominal tendinopathy, and as a result, he'll miss his first game of the season Sunday night against defending MVP Nikola Jokic. Anfernee Simons is a prime candidate to step into the starting point guard role, and Dennis Smith Jr. should see a big bump in minutes off the bench.
In 13 games this season, Lillard has averaged 20.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, 8.1 assists and 37.1 FanDuel points.
