Sylvester Stallone Confirms MCU Return in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 BTS Video

We already know that the Guardians of the Galaxy have started filming for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. However, it looks like they will get to work with a legendary Ravager captain as well! Sylvester Stallone has shared a new behind-the-scenes video taken on the set of his latest project. Interestingly, it looks a lot like the set of the Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel.

It was previously confirmed by director James Gunn that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has now started production. The filmmaker shared a new photo featuring the original cast along with new cast member Will Poulter who will play Adam Warlock. Just a few days later, Stallone posted a video on his official Instagram account which seemingly confirms he is working on the same set.

It's an interesting video considering that Stallone doesn't actually confirm that he's on the set of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. However, the practical set looks like something Gunn had previously worked on and fans are convinced this means Stakar Ogord will return in the MCU sequel.

Stallone originally played Stakar Ogord in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 where it was confirmed that he and Yondu Udonta had a troubled history. However, the film concluded with Stakar and the other Ravagers paying tribute to Yondu after his death. He then reunited with Aleta Ogord and the original Guardians in the mid-credits scene and seem to be set on going on new adventures.

For now, Stallone's return in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has not yet been officially announced. However, there is a huge chance that we will get to see more of Stakar and his team in the sequel.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is currently in production and is already scheduled for release on May 5, 2023.
