The Atlanta Braves won the World Series for the first time since 1995. Making it back to the Fall Classic for the first time since 1999 in the process, will the Braves have to wait another 22 years to reach their next World Series?

As the Atlanta Braves celebrate their second World Series title since moving to Atlanta, the focus now begins to shift toward what is an important, but exciting, offseason for the team.

Now the No. 1 priority for the Braves entering the offseason is obvious – re-sign Freddie Freeman. However, aside from that one main goal, what are some other potential moves for Atlanta over the next couple of months?

Not only is Freeman a free agent, but outfielders such as 2021 World Series MVP Jorge Soler, 2021 NLCS MVP Eddie Rosario, and Joc Pederson are all free agents.

In addition, Atlanta could also opt-to acquire an additional pitcher for both the starting rotation and bullpen.

Regardless of what the upcoming offseason moves will be, the Braves return a core in 2022 that will allow them to contend for a World Series not only next season, but for the next 5-10 seasons as well.

The Atlanta Braves will be World Series contenders for the next decade.

When asking the question whether the Braves will have to wait another 22 years to play in a World Series, the answer is no. The reason for this? The Braves young core.

When looking at how the Braves roster is set up for the next couple of seasons, the lineup will be anchored by names such as Acuna Jr, Riley, Albies, and Swanson, as well as the potential for Freeman and others to return.

Looking at the starting rotation as well, names such as Fried, Anderson, and Soroka will be a mainstay of the Braves pitching staff, as well as many others who composed a dominant bullpen during the 2021 postseason.

While there is always a possibility that the Braves also add veterans via trade or free agent signings over the years, Atlanta also has numerous top prospects who could play key roles possibly beginning next season such as Cristian Pache, Shea Langeliers, Drew Waters, Michael Harris, and Kyle Muller.
