Throughout the Ben Simmons trade saga, there have been an endless amount of mock trades. Now that a new team has reportedly entered the sweepstakes for the three-time All-Star, we have a fresh batch of new trade frameworks.

Recently, Bleacher Report released an article with four new trade ideas for teams across the league. Among the theoretical moves was one for the former number one pick. In this mock, Simmons goes to the Minnesota Timberwolves in a star-swapping three-team deal.

In this star-studded trade, the Sixers land All-Star Jaylen Brown and veteran guard Patrick Beverley. The Celtics find themselves with a new starting center in Karl-Anthony Towns. While the T-Wolves also net Matisse Thybulle, Jaden Springer, Robert Williams, and a first-round pick.

This move could be viewed as an overpay for the Sixers, but still a framework they should consider. In reality, the only valuable assets they are giving up are Ben Simmons and Thybulle. No disrespect to Springer, but there is no telling how his development pans out as he is only 19-years-old. Not to mention their first-round pick next year will likely land at the end of the first round after acquiring a player like Brown.

Daryl Morey has remained patient in Simmons' trade talks, waiting for the right deal to surface. While it seems unlikely Boston would actually part ways with Brown, this is the type of home run swing he is waiting for. Adding a player of Brown's caliber to the Sixers' roster instantly inserts them back in the conversation to compete for a championship this season.

One aspect of this trade that could make the Sixers hesitant is the upgrade to the Celtics' roster. Even though they've stumbled out of the gate, Boston is still a team that could pose a threat in the postseason. Morey should not be looking to aid them in bolstering their roster, especially at the center position.

Lack of size in the frontcourt has allowed Joel Embiid to have his way against the Celtics in recent years. Between acquiring Al Horford in the offseason and then KAT in this mock trade, they'd have a pair of bigs who could make life harder for Philly's All-Star big man.

All things considered, the Sixers are not the team in this Ben Simmons deal that should say no. Out of all three involved, they arguably walk away the winner of the trade. They are acquiring the player with the best upside and are creating a formidable big three in the process.

A trade of this magnitude would cause a seismic shift in the NBA landscape, which is why it should be seen as a pipe dream. Brad Stevens has denied trade rumors involving Brown multiple times now, and Minnesota is looking to add to its young core, not move on from their franchise cornerstone. Similar to this summer, the end of the Ben Simmons saga is still nowhere in sight.
