Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant is off to a scorching hot start in 2021/22 and is showing absolutely no signs of slowing down. The big man is currently leading the NBA in scoring, averaging 29.4 points per night while also grabbing 8.4 boards and dishing out 5.2 assists.

In the process, KD has already reached a feat only seen once before in Nets franchise history. Funny enough, he did it last time as well:

That's actually insane. No off nights for Durant, he's literally showing out on a nightly basis. In fact, the 33-year-old has erupted for 30+ in three of his last four contests and is coming off a 28-point showing on Friday as the Nets beat the lowly New Orleans Pelicans.

There's no doubt that KD is arguably the best electrifying scorer in the league and the number one piece to the puzzle in Brooklyn. He's essentially carried the team to a 9-4 start amid James Harden's struggles and Kyrie Irving's continued absence due to his stance on the COVID-19 vaccine.

However, it looks like Durant is going to start receiving more help. Harden poured in 39 points against NOLA and LaMarcus Aldridge is making his presence felt after coming out of retirement for the Nets. Ultimately though, the brilliance of KD will be the deciding factor to how far the organization goes this season.
