Former Turkuaz horns Josh SchwartzGreg Sanderson, and Chris Brouwers have signed onto the North Beach Music Festival lineup as The Horn Section. The respective baritone saxophonist, tenor saxophonist, and trumpeter will act as artists-at-large, sitting in during sets throughout the festival December 10th and 11th at the North Beach Bandshell in Miami Beach, FL.

This news comes after seven members of Turkuaz announced their departure from the Brooklyn funk nonet on November 2nd. In an open letter to fans,  guitarist/keyboardist Craig Brodhead, Brouwers, drummer Mikey Carubba, vocalist Shira Elias, vocalist Sammi Garett, Sanderson, Schwartz, and touring crew member Zach Fichter revealed they will no longer perform with the group. This was followed two days later by a message from frontman Dave Brandwein, who responded by opening up about his own personal struggles with addiction, though he did not outright say that Turkuaz was dissolved.
