Capobianco logged a power-play assist and two hits in Friday's 2-1 loss to the Blackhawks.
It was a solid season debut for the oft-injured defenseman, who set up Andrew Ladd's tally in the third period. Capobianco had just one goal in 14 contests across small portions of the last four seasons. The 24-year-old will begin in a limited role this year and may still have to fend off Cam Dineen for playing time.
