The Utah Jazz on Thursday honored Isabella "Izzy" Faith Tichenor, a young girl who tragically took her own life earlier this month.

Before tipoff, the players and spectators in the Vivint Arena held a moment of silence for the 10-year-old North Salt Lake girl.

The Jazz posted a video on Twitter ahead of the game of the moment of silence.

Both Donovan Mitchell and Joe Ingles spoke about Izzy earlier in the day.

Ingles said he spoke with Izzy's mom, Brittany Tichenor-Cox, over the phone for about an hour about things that can be done in the future to help prevent future tragedies.

Mitchell said he hasn't met with Izzy's mother, but he hopes to in the upcoming days.

He has been especially vocal on social media following the news.

He said his frustration is with the administration of Foxboro Elementary School, where Izzy's family had reported she was being "belittled and bullied."

"No one did anything," Mitchell said.

Friends set up a GoFundMe account for the Tichenor family, and the Utah Jazz made a $50,000 contribution.
