The past year for the Atlanta Falcons has seen plenty of turnarounds from top to bottom within the organization.

From the hiring of Arthur Smith to be their new head coach to the multiple key additions on the offensive side of the ball, change sure has been a theme with the team as of late.

Nonetheless, quarterback Matt Ryan still has been performing like one of the more formidable passers in the league this season. He has posted a 98.1 passer rating through eight games played and is on pace for his first 30-plus passing touchdowns season since the 2018 campaign where he logged 35 passing touchdowns over 16 starts.

Amid all the notable changes within the organization, Ryan still has full confidence in himself to continue to lead the team, which he opened up about ahead of the Falcons' upcoming Week 10 road matchup with the Dallas Cowboys.

“The belief in myself never wavered,” Ryan said. “I felt like I was still playing at a high level, and I think can play at a high level for a long time.”

As the one-time NFL MVP winner touched on, retirement is not on his mind at the moment. He shared these same sentiments in the offseason, as he noted in May that he still has “a lot of good football in front of me.”

For a 36-year-old quarterback who still has two more years remaining on his current contract deal with the Falcons, the Matt Ryan era with the team may not see an end anytime soon.
