NASHVILLE, Tenn.--A chemical mixing incident caused a Nashville apartment building to evacuate Friday morning.

According to the Nashville Fire Department (NFD), crews were dispatched to the West End Apartments located at 2010 West End Avenue for a chemical incident.
NFD reports maintenance workers at the building had mixed chlorine with muriatic acid causing a gas smell in the building. The building was evacuated but there were no transports from the scene for medical needs.
