PHOTOS: Drew Barrymore, 46, stuns in bold gown on red carpet: 'Yellow sunshine joy'

Drew Barrymore was the belle of the ball!

The 46-year-old turned heads as she donned a bold dress on the red carpet for the CFDA Fashion Awards.

Barrymore wore a poofy yellow dress designed by Christian Siriano. The dress featured oversized sleeves and a ruffled skirt with a diamond ring and black gold earrings. To complete the look, Barrymore kept it simple with minimal makeup featuring gold tones.

The actress took to Instagram to share plenty of snaps of her look. Barrymore captioned one post , “ @csiriano love our dates. Love being in your fantasy dress. Yellow sunshine joy. @chloeiscrazy you are my muse and I live to be yours in any way possible.”

After sharing her outfit, fans went wild and praised the actress for her red carpet debut.

A third added: “That dress is truly your embodiment – effervescent joy,” and a fourth gushed: “Love love LOVE all of this!”

Yet another fan complimented Barrymore of embracing the process of aging naturally: “I’m grateful that I can point to you to show my daughter what real beauty is!” the user wrote, adding, “No filters needed. No crazy surgeries. REAL! Authentic!! Loving yourself in your real skin. Thank you!”

Recently, Barrymore and her ex-husband Tom Green reunited for the first time in almost 20 years from audience members on “The Drew Barrymore Show.”

Barrymore confirmed that “We have not seen each other face-to-face, actually, in almost 20 years.” And she’d earlier admitted the two hadn’t even spoken in 15 years.

Green, 50, responded in his stilted manner, which instantly familiar to those who remember his goofy MTV talk show, “The Tom Green Show.”

“It’s very nice to see you,” Green said. “It does feel weird, though. Not weird in a bad way — weird in a good way. Appreciate it, Drew, so thanks for having me on the show. It’s awesome. This is cool. I actually think this is a nice way of reconnecting, actually. It takes a little bit of the pressure off.”

The two interviewed in September 2020 for Drew’s show but did it remotely with a green screen. Earlier, Barrymore also told Jimmy Fallon on “The Tonight Show” that she did have a quick convo with Green before the reunion, “because we didn’t want it to be some bougie Hollywood moment,” she said, “like, ‘Let’s reconnect in front of the cameras.’”
