Milton Keynes resident disturbs burglary attempt in their own home

A Milton Keynes resident who caught a man trying to break into their home managed to scare off a would-be burglar.

Thames Valley Police is releasing a CCTV image of a man officers would like to speak to in connection the attempted burglary in Cornbury Crescent.

According to officers, an offender attempted to gain entry to the property at around 2.30pm on Wednesday, November 10.

They say the victim was inside the property and heard the offender at the back door, trying to open it. When the offender saw someone was inside they ran away.

Investigator Charles Cox, based at Milton Keynes police station, said: “We would like to appeal to anybody who recognises the man in this image to please get in touch as we believe he may have information in connection with this burglary.

“You can get in touch by either making a report online or by calling 101 quoting reference number 43210508660.

“Alternatively, for 100% anonymity, you can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
