Nov. 13 is National Chicken Nugget Day, and Garden Catering is celebrating by giving away a ton of nuggets — literally. Each customer, who orders that day on Uber Eats, will get a coupon valid for a free one-half pound of nuggets for their next order the following week via the delivery app. The chain, which serves 500,000 pounds or 8 million nuggets per year, isn't too chicken to give up to 2,000 pounds of free nuggets, according to a company press release.
Garden Catering, which has eight units, is now using only chicken from Freebird Chicken, a company that treats their chickens with the highest standards —no antibiotics, chickens raised in a stress-free environment, and vegetarian grain-fed.
Established in 1978 and owned since 1991 by the Carpenteri family, the Connecticut-based chain's goal is to be the go-to gathering place for great food at a fair price and neighborly service, according to the release.
