Athletics: At Thursday's Section 1 championships, Johnston won the 200-yard individual medley in a time of 2:01.33 which was an Automatic All-American time and broke the Section 1 record. In her second individual race, she won the 100 freestyle in a time of 50.20 seconds which is in consideration for All-American status. She was also a member of the first place 200 medley relay and the 400 free relay. ... As Johnston was the only swimmer to win both of her individual events, she was voted swimmer of the meet. ... She'll compete Nov. 19-20 at the NYSPHSAA Championships at Ithaca College. ... Back in October, Johnston won the 200 freestyle, the 100 butterfly, and was a member of the winning 200 medley relay and 400 free relay at the League 1 Championships. She was named the high point winner at the meet. ... Johnston's garnered All League honors this year. In 2018 and 2019, she garnered All Section and All State honors. ... She's a two-time Scholastic All-American and holds 26 records as a member of the Mount Kisco Marlins swim team. ... Johnston will continue her swim career at Princeton University.
