ATLANTA, Ga. (WTGS) —
Chatham County has a new member representing it in the Georgia House of Representatives.

Rep. Edna Jackson was sworn in Thursday in Atlanta.
She will represent the 165th House District, replacing the late Representative Mickey Stephens.
In a Facebook post, Jackson said she was sworn-in, in front of her son, friends, and colleagues in the Chatham House delegation.
The former mayor of Savannah also took part in her first house vote Thursday. She voted against redistricted maps drawn by Georgia House Republicans.
Jackson won the house seat in a special election on November 2nd. She won 53% of the vote against four other candidates.
