The Panthers return to Louisville for the second time this season after previously running in EP Tom Sawyer Park earlier this fall at the Live In Lou Classic. Hocine Bouchrak was the first male Panther finisher as he finished 14th with a personal best time of 23:44.2 amongst a strong field in Louisville. Lindsey Ickes led the Panther Women Ickes led the way for the Panthers as the first HPU finisher placing 62nd with a time of 17:44.2. Ickes was 59th at the first split of 2.1K and she dropped slightly at 3.9K to 63rd place, but she was able to battle back and finish 62nd in Louisville.
The Panther Men at the Big South Championship
Bouchrak finished third with a time of 24:26. Bouchrak earned Big South First Team All-Conference honors while Rayan Vanderpooten and Hunter Steinau earned Big South Second Team All-Conference honors.Â

Five Peat for the Panther WomenÂ
HPU won its fifth consecutive Big South title and eighth overall with a clutch team performance in the last kilometer. At the 4K split Radford led by one point. HPU stormed back to win the race with a score of 50 compared to runner-up Radford who recorded 55 points and finished 2nd at the 2021 Big South Cross-Country Championship. Ickes led the way for HPU with a fourth-place finish with a time of 17:56. Ickes and Sydney Bagus earned Big South First Team All-Conference honors while Camryn Harper and Olive Allen earned Big South Second Team honors.Â

Last Time at the Southeast Regional for The Panthers (Fall of 2019)
HPU finished 14th on Friday morning at the NCAA Southeast Regional. Hocine Bouchrak was the top finisher for the Panthers placing 21st, finishing with a time of 30:34.8.
HPU earned an 11th place team finish at the 2019 NCAA Southeast regional on Friday morning (Nov 15), which is a team-best at an NCAA Southeast Regional. Famke Heinst improved on her last regional performance a year ago finishing three spots better placing tenth this year with a time of 20:21.2.Â
Heinst was the first Panther finisher as she placed tenth with a time of 20:21.2. Which is three spots better than her 13th place last season.
