Jimmy Robbins 1944-2021

Jimmy Allen Robbins, 77, Holton, died Friday, Nov. 5, 2021, at Stormont-Vail Regional Medical Center in Topeka.

He was born June 8, 1944, in Holton, the son of Alfred J. and Ida Mae Moore Robbins.

Mr. Robbins worked for sawmills in Topeka and in pouring and finishing concrete. He had worked at the Holton Cemetery for more than 30 years in maintenance and mowing.

He married Alice Irene Heiniger on Jan. 21, 1977, in Holton. She preceded him in death on Jan. 18, 2011. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Ida Mae Robbins; and a daughter, Yvonne Cox.

Survivors include two sons, James Robbins, Denison, and Jimmie Streeter, Iola; a daughter, Shelly Robbins, Holton; two sisters, Karen Shea and husband Fred and Patty Robbins, all of Holton; a brother, Billie Robbins, Denison; and a grandson, Avery Robbins.

Graveside memorial services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12 at Holton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jimmy Robbins Memorial Fund to help with expenses, sent in care of Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
