Inside an L.A. Lounge, Moose Knuckles and Jennifer Meyer Introduced Their Joint Collection
Los Angeles-based fine jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer will tell you — L.A. nights are actually pretty chilly. And it was a crisp Tuesday evening that gave way to the unveiling of the designer’s joint collection with Moose Knuckles. With the luxury outerwear brand’s creative director Brody Baker in attendance, both labels hosted the celebration at West Hollywood’s Sunset Tower.
Casamigos cocktails affectionately named after Meyer’s grandmother and daughter (Edith and Ruby) floated throughout the trendy, softly-lit lounge, the room bubbling with conversation. The menu mirrored a couple of the style names from the 18-piece collection the two brands created. Each piece is a nod to a different someone special in Meyer’s life. “I live and die for this woman,” Meyer told Vogue of her late grandmother. A few pieces from the collection hung on display in a homey corner of the room, where Meyer was referencing the first puffer coat. “The thing about my grandma Edith is she was a happy and incredible human. Nothing could rock her.”
Moose Knuckles and Meyer had gathered close friends of each brand to celebrate the union. Kate Hudson donned a chain-embellished fedora hat, while Rachel Zoe arrived in a lavish fuzzy coat atop a velvet pantsuit. More attendees included Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Giveon, Lexie Underwood, Tobey Maguire, Erin and Sarah Foster, and Maeve Reilly.
Meyer, who is among the many yet to return to full nights on the town, says she wanted to create a feel-good spirit for the evening—that feeling you seeing your friends for the first time in a long time. And she did. Caught on camera were giddy guests dancing along to a live DJ set by Noodz and guests securing selfies for memory’s sake.
