The Road Trip is nearly over. The New York Islanders have been back on Long Island and likely will be until their last Florida leg of the journey, with only tomorrow night’s game in New Jersey interrupting it.

UBS Arena is only ten days from hosting Islanders hockey.

  • Announced this morning and retweeted by Arthur Staple: Leo Komarov is going to Russia. Not sure if it’s the Islanders loaning him out or if he’s going on unconditional waivers for the purpose of terminating his contract, but we’ll update as necessary.
  • Barry Trotz has noticed a disturbing trend in his team’s game through the early going: They keep giving up multiple goals at a clip. It makes it more difficult to catch up. [amNY]
