Nicola Adams has said she would love to return to Strictly Come Dancing.
The boxer joined the BBC programme in 2020, taking part in the show's first same-sex partnership.
Unfortunately, her journey was unexpectedly cut short when her partner Katya Jones tested positive for Covid-19 and had to leave the show.
"It would be really cool to come back to Strictly because I feel like we’ve got unfinished business," she told Metro.co.uk.
The BBC previously said the Olympian wouldn't be able to return to the show as she would have an unfair advantage.
"If someone has to miss a week it's called a bye and everyone gets one bye," the BBC said at the time.
"But contestants are not allowed to miss more than one week. They're not allowed to re-enter the competition after they've taken part in the first episode.
"Jamie [Laing] was allowed back because he was injured before he began training and appeared on the show.
"Nicola can't come back because she will have an unfair advantage in the future as she's now had weeks of training."
Nicola also commented on this year's same-sex partnership, Great British Bake Off winner John Whaite who is dancing with Johannes Radebe.
"I have been watching a little of this year's series," she said.
"I think Johannes is doing amazing. I'm glad that they've continued the same-sex representation as it should be, it's not a token.
"It's everyday life and should be represented, and I'm looking forward to seeing him and John doing some lifts."
John and Johannes performed a Rumba at the weekend's show, winning praise from the judges.
Craig Revel Horwood said: "Wow! I will teach my fiancé this for my wedding dance!
"I thought it was absolutely gorgeous, you could have a straighter leg but I totally loved it, it was brilliant."
The performance earned them a score of 35, the highest score for a Rumba this series.
Strictly Come Dancing 2021 airs on Saturday nights on BBC One, with results shows every Sunday. Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights at 6.30pm on BBC Two.
