1 NASCAR crew chief suspended; 10 teams penalized; $85,000 in fines issued
Over the weekend, Phoenix Raceway concluded the championship rounds of the 2021 season. The 1-mile track hosted the finale for the NASCAR Cup Series, Xfinity Series and Truck Series.

Six NASCAR Cup Series teams have been penalized. That includes a suspension for Kyle Busch’s crew chief Ben Beshore. He’ll serve that penalty in the 2022 Clash at the Coliseum.
Ironically, three of the four Cup Series championship contenders face a lug nut penalty. That highlights how important the final stop of the race was for those guys.
Additionally, two NASCAR Xfinity Series and two more NASCAR Truck Series team have been hit with a penalty.
