On Nov. 4, SpoilerTV reported that Chesapeake Shores Season 6 was scheduled to begin production in April 2022. That came as news to series star Meghan Ory, who plays Abby O’Brien.

“Sorry @spoilertvphotos but if this is true @hallmarkchannel has not shared with me!!” she wrote in a now-deleted Instagram Story. “I like your positivity though!”

The Once Upon a Time alum added that she was curious about the source of the story. “It’s so much drama! I’m curious where this story came from.”

Ory’s co-star Treat Williams also saw the report and weighed in. “This is interesting,” he wrote in a tweet.

Hallmark Channel hasn’t made an announcement about ‘Chesapeake Shores’ Season 6

Unfortunately for fans, it sounds like all the talk of Chesapeake Shores Season 6 is more rumor than fact. Hallmark Channel has not made any official announcements about the show’s future, and the network did not respond to Showbiz Cheat Sheet’s request for comment on the renewal rumors.

More than 2 million people watched the Chesapeake Shores Season 5 finale, which aired Oct. 17. The show was the No. 1 most-watched scripted original on ad-supported cable among women 18+ during its 10-week run, according to the network.
