Wife of NASCAR driver Kyle Larson shotguns beer in post-race celebration

Kyle Larson scored the top prize at the NASCAR Cup Championship Series, but wife Katelyn was the winner of the post-race celebrations.

Following Sunday’s win at Phoenix Raceway in Arizona, Larson celebrated alongside his wife of three years, who toasted the victory by shotgunning a can of Busch Light beer. The move was caught on camera by NBC, with commentators praising Katelyn’s technique.

“This is what Katelyn does, she will shotgun a beer and has no shame in that, and impressive form, actually,” one commentator said.

In response to the clip, which has been viewed nearly 68,000 times on Twitter as of Tuesday, one fan dubbed Katelyn a “unicorn” while another replied, “Like a Boss!!!”

Katelyn’s shotguns have been well-documented over the years, including at the NASCAR Cup Series Awards in December 2019, when she downed a beer at the red-carpet event, according to Awesemo.com.

As for Larson, 29, who shares daughter Audrey and son Owen with Katelyn, he commemorated Sunday’s victory with an Instagram post.

“Champions! I can’t believe it! I’m just blessed to be a part of this team. Every single person at @teamhendrick, this win is for all of us! This is unbelievable. I’m speechless,” he wrote Monday.

Cheers to that.
