Have you recovered from last night’s Yellowstone Season 4 premiere event? We sure haven’t! After waiting over a year since the gripping Season 3 finale, Paramount Network gave fans back-to-back episodes from the highly-anticipated new season of Taylor Sheridan’s and John Linson’s gripping Western saga to digest last night.
Given the show’s breakneck pace, it’s no surprise that in the first two episodes of Season 4 we’ve already witnessed a shocking death. WHERE HAVE I SEEN JACKI WEAVER BEFORE?
Jacki Weaver is an accomplished Australian actress with a long list of stage/film/tv credits dating back to the early 1960s. She is perhaps known best to American audiences for her role as Janine “Smurf” Cody, the ruthless matriarch of a brutal crime family in David Michôd’s Animal Kingdom. That role garnered Weaver her first Academy Award nomination in 2010. In 2012, she received her second Oscar nomination for her portrayal of Dolores Solitano, the much put upon and nurturing mother of a bipolar son in David O. Russell’s Silver Linings Playbook. Other notable credits include Bird Box, Widows, The Disaster Artist, Stoker, and Magic in The Moonlight.
WAIT, JACKI WEAVER IS DEFINITELY NOT SALLY STRUTHERS, RIGHT?
Even though the two bear a striking resemblance to other, Jacki Weaver and Sally Struthers are two very different actresses. Sally Struthers is best known for her iconic role as Gloria Stivic on All in the Family for which she won two Primetime Emmy Awards.
