UC San Diego graduate Megan McArthur is scheduled to return to Earth from the International Space Station at about 10:33 p.m. EST Monday aboard the Dragon spacecraft, according to NASA.

McArthur and fellow astronaut Shane Kimbrough, along with Japanese astronaut Aki Hoshide and European Space Agency astronaut Thomas Pesquet, are expected to splash down off the coast of Florida, the space agency said. Their spacecraft will undock from space station at 2:05 p.m., then head home.

The 50-year-old McArthur has been aboard the space station since last spring, where she has primarily been doing research. This is her second trip into space. McArthur flew aboard the space shuttle Atlantis in 2009 and helped to upgrade the Hubble Space Telescope.
