MOORHEAD — Moorhead police arrested a Fargo man with a long criminal history following a high-speed chase and crash in south Moorhead.
At 8:20 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 7, police were notified about a driver slumped over the steering wheel of a vehicle while stopped at a stoplight. The vehicle eventually moved and callers continued to follow it until officers located the vehicle on 34th Street near 12th Avenue South, according to a news release from Moorhead Police.
Officers tried to stop the vehicle due to suspicion the driver was operating under the influence, but the driver fled at a high speed. Officers pursued and used stop sticks twice to stop the vehicle but were unsuccessful.
The vehicle eventually left the roadway while southbound on 34th Street near 30th Avenue South and struck multiple trees, pinning the driver inside. The Moorhead Fire Department and Sanford Ambulance helped remove the driver.
Warren Michael Misevich, 28, of Fargo was taken to Sanford Hospital for treatment of his injuries, the extent of which are unknown. A staff member at the Clay County Jail said Misevich was not in custody at the jail as of Sunday evening.

Requested charges against him include DWI, fleeing in a motor vehicle, driving after revocation and multiple traffic offenses, according to the news release.
Misevich has been convicted of similar charges multiple times in the past. His criminal record, which includes felonies in North Dakota and Minnesota, dates back to 2011 when he was 18.
In that case, he faced charges that included fourth-degree assault and fleeing in a motor vehicle.
