New York Rangers Prospect Watch: Vitali Kravtsov

New York Rangers fans are painfully aware of the drama and circumstances surrounding the 2018, 9th overall selection in the Draft. The 21 year-old refused assignment to the Wolf Pack and left for Russia demanding a trade. While the two sides sort that out, he’s been loaned to Traktor in the KHL. In his first game back, he scored three points (2G-1A) that included this OT dazzler.

Brennan Othmann

The New York Rangers selected 6-0, 175-pound forward Brennan Othmann 15th overall in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft. He had an impressive camp for an 18 year-old and appears to have a bright future. He returned to the Flint Firebirds of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) where he scored 33 points (17 goals, 16 assists) last season.

This year, he’s off to an even hotter start. In 9 games with the Firebirds, he has 8 goals and 12 points.

Will Cuylle

The Blueshirts drafted Cuylle in the 2020 draft, in the second round (60th overall). The pick was acquired from the L.A. Kings in exchange for Lias Andersson. The 6-3, 212 lbs, 19 year-old winger had an impressive training camp before being sent back to the OHL.

The Windsor Spitfires named Will Cuylle their captain at the start of the season.

“It is an honour to be named the captain of such a historic franchise,” Cuylle said via the OHL website. “I am excited for the upcoming season.”

In 11 games, the captain of the Spitfires has 7 goals and 9 points.
