Driver dies in deadly single-car crash in Sanford, police say

SANFORD, Fla. — Sanford Police are investigating a deadly crash that happened Sunday morning.

The crash happened on the 400 block of East Lake Mary Boulevard, police said.

According to police, the driver left the roadway while speeding and crashed into a tree.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the driver was the only person in the car when it crashed.

The driver has not been identified at this time.
