For the second day in a row, local cross country teams faired well at the MSHSAA State meet in Columbia.
Three mid-Missouri runners won state titles, Southern Boone's Connor Burns in the boys class 3 race, Father Tolton's Elyse Wilmes in the girls class 3 race, and Smithton's Riley Bryan in the girls class 1 race.
The Father Tolton girls team in class 3 and the Hermann girls team in class 2 earned state championships. The Glasgow girls took home a state runners-up trophy, and the Wellsville-Middletown boys placed third in their race. Southern Boone's girls team earned a fourth place trophy.
