Dayton was released by Atlanta on Saturday.
Dayton missed most of the year with shoulder inflammation, though he did make a single rehab appearance in September, which could bode well for his readiness for spring training. He struggled to a 6.23 ERA in 13 innings prior to the injury, and he's heading into his age-33 season, but he still owns a 3.43 career ERA, which could keep him somewhat interesting on the open market.
