Ford builds some seriously striking cars. Vehicles such as the Ford Mustang and the Ford Bronco have distinctive looks that give each car a distinctive character, but what if you're after something with a bit of everything mixed together? This Ford Ranger took on that approach and now features the front-end of a Mustang, and we must say, we're not totally against it. Wat, a custom Ford specialist based in Thailand has thrown together a kit so anyone can have their very own Ranger Mustang. The current facelifted Ford Ranger (which is due to be replaced soon) was used for the conversion.

In a short (and grainy) video posted to YouTube, Wat shows off this unique creation, and from what we can tell, it looks pretty amazing. The body panel gaps all seem to be tight, and even the fender flares look half decent. A quick shot of the loadbay shows off an air-suspension system that allows this Ranger Mustang to lower and raise itself up on command. This vivid red machine rolls on a set of large Force eight-spoke alloy wheels finished in black. On the road, this monster looks really good, and the Mustang front-end blends in seamlessly with the side profile of the Ranger. The front angle view is our favorite, and it seems that Wat has used wheel spacers to widen the track of the car.

There might be a galloping pony on the grille of this Ranger, but we doubt that any changes have taken place under the hood of this pickup truck. In the US, the standard Ranger is fitted with a 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 270 horsepower and 310 lb-ft. Power is sent to the rear, or all fours, via a 10-speed automatic transmission. We'd love to see one of these with a 5.0-liter V8 to really give the Mustang appearance some credibility, but we're sure that somebody, somewhere is working on just that as we speak. If only it was the engineers in Dearborn.
