Apple TV+‘s The Morning Show rocked our collective worlds last week with an insane episode that ended in a major character’s death. This week, the craziness continues in The Morning Show Season 2 Episode 8 “Confirmations.” As the folks back at UBA get hold of rumors about Mitch Kessler (Steve Carell) dying in Italy, the news team at The Morning Show needs to ethically confirm Mitch’s passing before reporting on one of their own. Also still happening? The impending release of Maggie Brenner’s tell-all book about Alex Levy (Jennifer Aniston) and the fallout of Bradley Jackson (Reese Witherspoon) finding herself outed.

Jugging this craziness? Executives Cory Ellison (Billy Crudup) and Stella Bok (Greta Lee). In this exclusive first look clip, watch as Cory confronts Stella about something she said that bothered him. That offensive question? “Are you okay?” Cory explains to the younger exec why she can’t be hampered by empathy in their high-stakes industry in a speech that is pure Cory craziness.

“Their dynamic, I just find so genuinely fascinating,” Morning Show star Greta Lee told Decider in a recent interview. “They could not be more different, and yet we talked at length about how in some ways they could be the same person in like an alternate universe.”

Maybe they could be, if Stella can learn how to stop asking Cory if he’s okay first…

The Morning Show Season 2 Episode 8 “Confirmations” premieres on Apple TV+ tomorrow.
